Part IV: Candidate Forums
Response Tracking Grids
Instructions
To use these grids, fill in candidate names in the Name column. Read down the column for each question. For example, in the grid below, candidate 2 is the first respondent for Q2, followed by candidate 1 and candidate 3. As you call on each candidate, cross out the number that matches their name and then read down the column to the next higher number and call on the candidate who matches that number.
Rotation grids are numerically balanced so that each candidate has an equal opportunity to respond first and last.
OR = Opening Remarks // Q1 = Question 1 (and so on) // CR = Closing Remarks
Calculation Tip
Make sure to calculate in advance approximately how many questions you will be able to ask:
Total question time / (number of candidates * amount of time to answer each question)
Example: 50 minutes / (3 candidates * 1.5 minutes) = approximately 11 questionsRemember to allow time for opening and closing statements!
