Minnesotans value clean water, air, public lands, and good government by state agencies to protect them.
In recent years, significant agency decisions responded more to polluting industries' needs rather than to the needs of Minnesotans as called for in agency missions.
Don Arnosti, a longtime environmental consultant and leader, will speak on how we got here, and reference some of the worst health and environment problems allowed when enforcement was lax. He will report on a new coalition of over 16 communities and other groups from different parts of Minnesota called “People Not Polluters”, who are working to change this.
This is a hybrid meeting, but in-person space is limited. The Eventbrite link will get you the Zoom link.
