  • 6:20 pm – Program Welcome: Stephanie Nuttall, LWV Winona President

  • 6:25 pm – Video Presentation: “Using LWV Principles to Guide Water Work” by Bonnie Cox and Beth Baranski from LWV, Jo Daviess County Illinois. This 2022 video is a primer on how Leagues can get involved and create a lasting impact on the key water issues in their area.

  • 6: 45 pm – 2022 Mississippi River-Winona/La Crescent One Watershed One Planning for the Region: a Key Year. Terri Peters—District Manager, Wabasha Soil & Water Conservation District and Sheila Harmes, Winona County Planning & Env. Services, Water Planner. The transition to collaborative watershed planning; an overview of the Planning Grant from the Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources yielded “WinLaC” Plan priorities for measurable goals and identification of a framework for implementation actions. Recent results of public participation events and reports are helping to inform the prioritization process for this key area.

  • 7:05 pm – Panel Discussion: Panel Moderator Gretchen Sabel, UMRR ILO Board**Communications Ms. Sabel has been a board member for LWVs of Winona, Anoka, Blaine and Coon Rapids, MN.
