LOTT Fellows Program

About the LOTT Fellows Program:

League of Women Voters Education Fund is proud to announce the Leaders of Today and Tomorrow (LOTT) Fellows Program.  The LOTT Fellows Program is an expansion of the very successful LOTT Women's Leadership Conference, designed to inspire college-age women to become active citizens and envision themselves as future leaders.  The LOTT Fellows Program is a leadership development program offering intensive seminars, mentoring, and networking to today's promising young women.  Over the course of 5 months, Mentees and Mentors will embark on an exciting journey of partnership, reflection, coaching, and inspiration.  Activities will include highly interactive discussions, speakers, and one-on-one mentoring.  Mentees, supported by Mentors, will plan and present a short workshop for attendees of the Annual LOTT Conference in April of 2010.

Mentor Key Characteristics:
  • Leadership and Influence demonstrated through individual and collaborative experiences
  • A history of Community and Civic Involvement
  • A commitment to Self-Reflection and Personal Growth
  • A passion for Coaching and Developing Others
  • Potential to bring Unique/Diverse Experiences, Networks, or Resources to the mentoring relationship
Other Expectations:
  • A minimum of 7 years professional work experience
  • Attend Mentor training and orientation session (November 2009, approximately 2 hours)
  • Meet with Mentees during the Program (January through May 2010), including:
    • 4 monthly workshops (approximately 3 hours each, includes one-on-one mentoring)
    • One additional one-on-one mentoring session
    • Attend the Annual LOTT Conference (April 2010)
