This 33 page report is a culmination of a two year study on immigrants in Minnesota.  It focuses on what is happening in both urban and rural cities with sizable populations of immigrants in central and southern Minnesota.  Issues are approached from historical and contemporary perspectives.  Areas covered include history of immigration policies and laws, major groups of people who have immigrated to Minnesota and why they came, Adult Basic Education, Higher Education and legal issues.

Books purchased for resale must be sold at retail price and seller must not undersell LWVMN.  Leagues or League members that are purchasing for another entity should use the retail price and discounts that apply.  Member prices listed should be considered primarily for the use of a single member's or League's usage.

Publications are only accepted for return in perfect condition.  Publications are not accepted for return if they have been priced, or bar coded, if shrink wrap seal has been removed or if the publication has been used.
